Plastic modified asphalt waterproofing membrane
1. Definition and Characteristics
*Definition: Plastic modified asphalt waterproofing membrane is a waterproofing membrane made of polyester tire, fiberglass felt, and fiberglass reinforced polyester felt as the tire base, with random polypropylene (APP) or polyolefin polymer (APAO, APO, etc.) as the petroleum asphalt modifier, and coated with isolation material on both sides.
* Characteristics * *: It has unique high temperature resistance, good low-temperature flexibility, good water resistance, strong wear and corrosion resistance, good elasticity, and high elongation.
2. Purpose
*Generally used for waterproofing in industrial and civil buildings.
*Suitable for waterproofing of various underground engineering upstream faces.
*Waterproofing for municipal engineering projects such as bridges, roads, parking lots, subways, tunnels, etc.
3. Classification and specifications
*According to the tire base, it is divided into polyester felt (PY), fiberglass felt (G), and fiberglass reinforced polyester felt (PYG).
*According to the surface isolation material, it is divided into polyethylene film (PE), fine sand (S), and mineral granules (M).
*Bottom surface isolation material: made of fine sand (S) and polyethylene film (PE).
* According to material properties * *: divided into Type I and Type II.
* Specification * *: The commonly used width is 1000mm; The thickness of polyester felt roll includes 3mm, 4mm, and 5mm; The thickness of fiberglass felt roll is 3mm and 4mm; The thickness of the fiberglass reinforced polyester felt roll is 5mm.
4. Construction methods
*Hot melt method: Aim the flame spray gun with the adjusted temperature at the interface of the waterproof membrane base layer, and quickly bake the membrane and base layer. When the adhesive on the edge of the membrane turns black and shiny, immediately roll it and compact it with a rubber roller.
*Cold bonding method: Use a rubber scraper to fully scrape the adhesive, then roll and paste the already determined waterproof membrane in parallel, and use rubber rollers to push the membrane while laying, eliminating air and compacting it.
