1、 Basic concepts of waterproof coatings
Waterproof coating is applied to buildings, and through the evaporation of solvents or moisture, two groups of chemical reactions form a thin film, isolating the surface of the building from water and thus playing a role in waterproofing and sealing. These viscous liquids used for coating are waterproof coatings. Waterproof coating is a viscous liquid polymer synthetic material that has no fixed shape at room temperature. After coating, it forms a tough waterproof film on the base surface through solvent evaporation or water evaporation or reaction curing.
2、 Types of waterproof coatings
There are various types of waterproof coatings, including the following:
1. Polyurethane Waterproof Coating * *: A single component polyurethane waterproof coating made by mixing and processing a pre polymer containing isocyanate groups formed by addition polymerization of isocyanates, polyethers, etc., with catalysts, anhydrous additives, anhydrous fillers, solvents, etc. This type of coating is a reaction curing (moisture curing) coating, which has the characteristics of high strength, high elongation, and good water resistance.
2. SBS Modified Asphalt Waterproof Coating: A cold construction waterproof coating formulated with petroleum asphalt as the base material, SBS as the modifier, and various auxiliary materials. It has the characteristics of good waterproof performance, good low-temperature flexibility, high elongation, convenient construction, and good adaptability to roof deformation.
3.Polymer cement-based waterproof coating * *: One of the main waterproof materials for modern home decoration and bathroom waterproofing, its main components are cement, polymer latex rubber powder, sand and gravel grit, fillers (such as heavy calcium), additives (such as defoamers, anti settling agents), etc. It has the characteristics of breathability, non permeability, good flexibility, strong weather resistance, and easy construction.
